Online Safety

What is it?

Internet safety, also known as online safety, cyber safety, and digital safety, is the science and practice of reducing harms that occur through the (mis)use of technology. It is a multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder field that encompasses the design and delivery of policies, practices, technologies, and educational initiatives. Its purpose is to protect users (and especially vulnerable users) while preserving the benefits of digital participation.

How do I stay Safe?

Online Safety is something we are extremely passionate about. The online world is amass to predators and vulnerable people. Its a match made in hell for those seeking genuine support and a comfort to escape from the reality. There are many ways to stay safe and we provide a workshop to schools, business and wider organisations to equip you with adequate tools to stay safe online.

Data Protection Act 2018

The Data Protection Act 2018 is a revision of the Data Protection Act 1998 which includes the importance of organizations to be more responsible with the information as well as improving the confidentiality. The latter revision also works in tandem with the GDPR, which the Data Protection Act 1998 didn't do. The Data Protection Bill was introduced to the House of Lords by Lord Ashton of Hyde, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport on 13 September 2017. The Data Protection Act 2018 received royal assent on 23 May 2018. The Act came into effect on 25 May 2018.
