BEHIND THE PASSION
Who am I?
My name is B from Manchester. I am a Survivor of abuse. 20 years of injustice through the system has nearly brought me to breaking point but I didn't give up. My childhood memories are few and far between. I was bullied in high school and excluded in Yr 10. I was always misinterpreted, I still am by many but its actually people who will never understand the pain I have endured to still be standing and striving for a positive change. Often my passion is misinterpreted, I don't let it get me down anymore because I know I will keep fighting for those children who need this. I have been abused by many kinds of people including professionals & people in positions of power. All of my preparators managed to get away. I know many went on to abuse more children at the time, some probably still do.
The impacts of trauma are long lasting, I struggle to understand when I read so I have to read it multiple times and I can be hyperactive. I am differently abled but this does not make me incapable. I have been left with complex trauma that is a life long impact from the abuse I have suffered at the hands of people I thought were protecting me. Its not easy but I manage with great support and a close knit community of amazing people.
Soo many children are labelled as "naughty" or "bad" but the root cause issue is often dismissed. 20 years later I finally found my identity. I have graduated from the Freedom Programme in October 2024. Stripped back with the help of Wythenshawe Safespots at one of my lowest points in adulthood I finally found people who listened. I'm a proud mother, I put my heart and soul into leaving a legacy for young people to continue to strive and intend to mentor them up until college age.

PROJECT T.O.T is built on a foundation of compassion, integrity, and accountability. We believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect, and we are committed to using our resources in the most effective and efficient way possible. At PROJECT T.O.T , I envision a world where every person has access to the resources they need to live a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life. We strive to create an environment where young people have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.
The fire in my belly doesn't just come from my lived experience but the fact I am passionate in breaking the trauma cycle and strive to support young people who need this there are so many out there still suffering! The stigma that comes with domestic abuse, rape, sexual exploitation and cultural divisions DO NOT exist at PROJECT T.O.T.
Ultimately the goal is to build emergency accommodation in Manchester for women fleeing abuse to rehouse them and their children. In addition I want to provide provision for young people to where they can come and be mentored & deliver educational workshops in a safe space. Music, sports, art and nature are a huge part of my syllabus through trauma therapy and mentoring so young people can thrive into a career path they enjoy.
I am raising £1,000,000 to support this vision. I will donate half of the proceeds to Wythenshawe Safespots in order for them to continue supporting the women and children who come through the door desperately in need of support.
I aim to work with local businesses. The team is made up of dedicated professionals and volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in our communities. I work tirelessly to ensure that our programs and services are meeting the needs of those we serve.
